This third quarter builds on the foundation of your faith and spiritual habits, guiding you toward living out your purpose through service and leadership. As disciples of Jesus, we are called not only to grow in faith but also to serve and lead others with humility, passion, and clarity of purpose.

Week 27: Discovering Your Ministry

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

  • Understand that every believer is uniquely shaped for ministry.

Welcome and Opening Prayer (10 minutes)

Thank God for creating each of us with purpose and value. Ask for revelation as we explore our calling.

Icebreaker Activity: “What is Something You Love to Do?” (10 minutes)

Share something you enjoy doing that makes you feel fulfilled. Connect the idea of joy and gifting to ministry.

Week 28: The Great Commission

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

Key Verse: Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you...”

  • Encourage personal responsibility and boldness in sharing the gospel.

Icebreaker Activity: “Tell Me Good News” (10 minutes)

Share a time when you shared exciting news with someone. How did it feel? How did they respond?

Week 29: Servant Leadership

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

Key Verse: Mark 10:45 (NIV) “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

  • Understand the biblical model of leadership through service.
  • Discover how Jesus' life redefined greatness as a combination of humility and sacrifice.
  • Inspire students to lead by example, love, and action, not position.

Ask God to help us lead like Jesus with humility, strength, and love.

Icebreaker Activity: “What Makes a Great Leader?” (10 minutes)

Have participants call out words that describe great leaders. Write them down. Then ask: Which of these apply to Jesus?

Teaching Segment (20 minutes): What Is Servant Leadership?

Students choose one way they can lead by serving this week: In church. At home. In school or the community. Write a plan, and commit to doing it!

Reflect on whom you influence and how you can lead them with humility. Pray for strength to serve and lead like Jesus.

Homework Assignment

Read John 13 and reflect on Jesus washing the disciples' feet. Journal: What does Jesus’ example teach you about leadership?

Week 30: Leading with Integrity

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

Key Verse: Proverbs 11:3 (NIV) “The integrity of the upright guides them, but their duplicity destroys the unfaithful.”

  • Understand the meaning and value of integrity in leadership.
  • Discover how consistency in character fosters trust and influence.
  • Commit to living and leading with honesty, humility, and accountability.
Welcome and Opening Prayer (10 minutes)

Invite God to help us lead with honesty, humility, and faithfulness.

Icebreaker Activity: “Would You Still Do It?” (10 minutes)

Present situations where no one is watching (e.g., keeping extra change, skipping a task). Would you still do the right thing?

Teaching Segment (20 minutes): What Is Integrity?

Reflect silently on one area of life where greater integrity is needed. Write a short prayer asking God for help in that area.

Homework Assignment

Read Luke 16:10 and reflect on faithfulness in small things. Ask a trusted friend for accountability in one area where you want to grow.

Week 31: The Five Ministries

  • Understand the purpose and function of the five ministry gifts.
  • Discover how these roles collaborate to build and equip the Church.
  • Reflect on how we are all called to be equipped and to equip others.

Thank God for placing leaders in His Church to help us grow and serve.

Icebreaker Activity: “Which Role Would You Choose?” (10 minutes)

If you could be a leader in one way, such as teaching, guiding, or encouraging, which would you choose and why?

Homework Assignment

Reread Ephesians 4 and write a paragraph about which ministry role has helped you the most. Pray for your pastor, teacher, or spiritual mentor this week.

Week 32: The Gifts of the Spirit

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (NIV) “There are different gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”

  • Understand what spiritual gifts are and why they are given.
  • Learn how the Holy Spirit empowers believers to serve and strengthen the Church.
  • Discover and begin to develop individual spiritual gifts.
Welcome and Opening Prayer (10 minutes)

Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Pray for clarity and courage to use the gifts He gives.

Icebreaker Activity: “What Makes You Unique?” (10 minutes)

Ask each participant to share one unique thing about themselves and how it might be used to bless others.

What Are the Gifts of the Spirit?

Use a short gift discovery tool or survey. Have participants reflect and write down which gifts they feel most drawn to or have seen in action.

Reflection and Prayer (15 minutes)

Invite personal reflection: “God, how have You gifted me?” Pray in small groups, asking the Holy Spirit to stir and strengthen each person's gifts.

Homework Assignment

Review 1 Corinthians 12 again. Journal your top two gifts and one way to begin using them in church or your community.

Week 33: Serving in the Church

  • Understand the purpose and value of serving within the body of Christ.

  • Inspire students to participate in church life through active service and community engagement.

Thank God for the opportunity to serve Him and others through the Church. Invite a spirit of willingness and teamwork.

Icebreaker Activity: “Where Do You Help?” (10 minutes)

Share a way you have helped at church, home, or school. How did it feel to serve?

Homework Assignment

Ask a church leader where help is needed. Try serving in a small way this week and reflect on how it felt.

Week 34: Developing a Heart for Others

Lesson Objectives
  • Understand the call to love and value others with humility and compassion.
  • Learn how to see people the way Jesus sees them.
  • Cultivate a lifestyle of kindness, service, and empathy.

Thank God for loving us deeply and ask Him to help us reflect His heart toward others.

Icebreaker Activity: “Who Helped You?” (10 minutes)

Share a story of someone who showed you kindness or care. What impact did it have on you?

Read Luke 10:25-37. Complete your compassion challenge and write a brief reflection on how it felt.

Week 35: Ministry in the Community

  • Recognize that ministry is not limited to the church; it extends into everyday life.
  • Discover how to be a beacon of light in the community through action, presence, and love.
  • Inspire students to serve, volunteer, and make a positive impact wherever they are.

Thank God for placing us in our neighborhoods and communities. Ask for open eyes to see opportunities to serve.

Icebreaker Activity: “Be the Light” (10 minutes)

What is one good deed someone has done for you outside of church that made a difference in your day?

Create a group or individual plan to serve in the community this month (Examples: trash pickup, food bank, visit a neighbor, school supplies drive).

Reflect: Where is God sending me this week to shine His light? Pray for boldness, compassion, and creativity in ministry.

Do one act of community kindness this week. Journal what you did and how the person or community responded.

Week 36: The Cost of Leadership

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

Key Verse: Luke 14:27-30 (NIV) “And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Suppose one of you wants to build a tower...”

Lesson Objectives
  • Understand that leadership in God's kingdom comes with sacrifice and responsibility.
  • Learn what Jesus meant by counting the cost.
  • Reflect on personal readiness to follow Jesus as a leader with commitment and endurance.
Welcome and Opening Prayer (10 minutes)

Thank God for the call to lead and the grace to follow through. Ask for courage and focus as we count the cost of serving Him.

Icebreaker Activity: “What is Worth the Cost?” (10 minutes)

What is something valuable you have worked hard for or paid a high price for? Why was it worth it?

Teaching Segment (20 minutes): What Is the Cost to Leadership?

Have participants list three things leadership may cost, such as time, reputation, and comfort. Then, list three rewards of leading faithfully. Have participants share a commitment or area of sacrifice they feel called to make.

Reflect on your leadership journey or desire. Pray for endurance, humility, and a willingness to lead with a Christ-like character.

Homework Assignment

Read Matthew 16:24-26. Write a letter to God about your willingness to lead and what you are willing to surrender.

Week 37: Overcoming Discouragement

Theme: Journey to Spiritual Maturity: Growing Together in Faith, Love, and Service

Key Verse: Galatians 6:9 (NIV) “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

  • Recognize discouragement as a regular part of leadership and ministry.
  • Discover how to turn to God for strength when you feel weary or unappreciated.
  • Encourage persistence and hope rooted in God's promises.
Welcome and Opening Prayer (10 minutes)

Pray for those feeling tired, overlooked, or discouraged. Invite the Holy Spirit to bring strength and renewal.

Icebreaker Activity: “When I Felt Like Giving Up” (10 minutes)

Invite participants (anonymously, if preferred) to share a time when they felt discouraged but persevered. What helped?

Homework Assignment

Read Isaiah 40:28-31 and journal how God strengthens you. Encourage someone else who may be feeling discouraged.

Week 38: Multiplying Disciples

  • Understand that spiritual growth leads to spiritual reproduction.
  • Learn the principle of investing in others to build more disciples.
  • Commit to helping others grow in their faith as a spiritual mentor.

Thank God for the people who discipled us and asked Him to help us pour into others.

Share a story of someone who helped you grow spiritually. What did they do that made a difference?

  • Understand that love must be the foundation of all leadership and ministry.

  • Encourage a personal commitment to lead others with humility, compassion, and grace.

Share examples of leaders (famous or personal) who led with love. What did they do that showed it?
